Why Qualify for the AKC National Agility Championship?

The AKC National Agility Championship is a big agility competition for dogs from all over the country. Competing at this level showcases your dog’s physical abilities and the incredible bond and teamwork you share. It shows the fun and exciting vibe at Nationals, creating a memorable experience for handlers and dogs.

Your Three-Month Countdown

The AKC 2025 National Agility Qualifications ends on November 30, 2024. With the qualification deadline just three months away, it’s time to ramp up your training and get your application in.

Review the Qualification Requirements

Ensure you’re up-to-date on the specific criteria for agility qualification. This includes the types of events, scoring, and any mandatory certifications. For the 2025 championship, the following are the requirements that you have to meet to qualify:

  • 7 double Q’s
    • 3 double Q’s may be replaced by a combination of 3 Premier STD legs and 3 Premier JWW Legs.
    • The Premier STD and JWW legs do not need to be earned at the same trial.
  • 550 Total MACH/Premier points
    • Each Premier Q earns 15 points toward NAC requirements.

Track Your Progress

As you tackle each event, watch and track your dog’s progress closely! This way, you’ll always know exactly where you stand and how many more points you need to qualify. Stay pumped and motivated—you’re on your way to success!

To make it easier, we have prepared a simple AKC Qualifications Tracker that you can use:
