Breeds and Ages We Work with

At Happy Pup Manor, we specialize in working with doodle and retriever breeds. We limit our training programs to these breeds as our trainers are specifically skilled in working with these breed types. Working with similar breeds allows us to understand and specialize in these dogs’ behaviors and reduces the risk of unpredictable behaviors. 

We work with young puppies up to dogs aged three. While a dog is never too old to be trained, we specialize in younger dogs and believe that training is most effective when started early in a pup’s life. 

Dog Obedience Classes: What to Expect

When you choose dog obedience classes at Happy Pup Manor, you can count on your dog getting group training lessons, private one-on-one training for one hour per day, and supervised playtime. Our dog training program teaches commands such as sit, stay, down, come, leave it, and place, as well as curbs behaviors like counter surfing, biting, jumping, and barking. We’ll also work with your pup on housetraining and crate training. 

In addition to the quality of our dog training program, your pup will also stay in our luxurious manor. Our manor features over 5,000 square feet of indoor exploration space and sits on a fenced five-acre lot that allows for playing and running. In this home environment, your dog will receive constant reinforcement of the behaviors and commands they’ve learned in their training courses. 

Training Program Lengths

We know that every dog is different and that your goals and budget for training are unique to you. That’s why we offer three different lengths of training programs.

• 10-day program. Our 10-day program is the perfect option for young puppies who need to learn basic commands and good behaviors, such as housetraining. We recommend this as a foundational program for all puppies. 
• Four-week program. Our four-week program is a more intensive program that is designed to teach good behaviors that last a lifetime. 
• Eight-week program. We recommend our eight-week program for dogs that may enter into other intensive training programs in the future, such as the service dog training or therapy dog training program.
