Sharing Lovable Bundles of Joy: The DoodleDee Goldendoodles Way

Known for their spirited nature, loyalty, intelligence, and hypoallergenic coats, Goldendoodles are not just pets but adorable family members. Going for more than 20 years, Doodledee Goldendoodles & More is renowned for passionately providing individuals and families with puppies that will further enrich love in their homes.

Their breeding expertise covers Goldendoodle puppies and Bernedoodle puppies that come in a rainbow of fur colors. Goldendoodle puppy sizes range from micro mini (8–15 lbs), petite (15–25 lbs), minis (25–35 lbs), medium (40–50 lbs), and standard (55+ lbs). Bernedoodle puppies also come in sizes from micro mini (10–15 lbs), petite (15–25 lbs), minis (25–35 lbs), medium (40–50 lbs), and standard (55+ lbs).

Depending on the litter, each puppy features a curly, fleece, straight, or shag coat, in a wide array of colors like creams, reds, blacks, chocolates, chocolate, merle, and tuxedos, among others. With a wide variety of Bernedoodle and Goldendoodle puppies, Doodledee Goldendoodles & More regularly shares photos of the puppies so parents are updated, and even encourages onsite picking to allow potential parents to see which puppy would be close to their heart.

The Puppy Adoption Process

Doodledee Goldendoodles & More invites prospective families to reach out via their website or phone to learn more about availability, timing, and what to expect. Bethany requires a nonrefundable $500 deposit to reserve the puppy of your choice, with the remaining balance due at puppy-picking time—typically by four weeks of age. Selections are made in the order deposits are received, though the breeder retains the right to keep first pick(s) from any litter.

Families who wish to wait may roll their deposit over to a future litter. Doodledee allows up to two passes; after that, an additional deposit is required to remain on the waitlist. Both deposits will be applied to the final purchase price. Deposits are non-transferable and may only be used by the original contract holder.

Bethany encourages thoughtful decision-making before placing a deposit, as all deposits are final and nonrefundable. Submitting a deposit signifies agreement with the terms outlined in Doodledee’s contract.

Puppies must be picked up on their scheduled go-home date. If pickup isn’t possible, families have the option to defer to a future litter. All pups are sold as companions only, and spay/neuter contracts are required and strictly upheld. Legal fees will be applied if the terms of the contract are violated.

True to her in-home breeding approach, Bethany raises all of her puppies inside her residence—not in barns, sheds, or kennel-style spaces. She’s one of the few breeders who welcomes families into her home for in-person visits at puppy-picking time. These visits give future owners the chance to meet the litter and connect with the pup that feels like the best match. For those unable to travel, FaceTime sessions are also available.

To ensure the pups’ safety, Doodledee does not ship puppies via airline cargo. Instead, Bethany offers personalized delivery options, including:

  • Local airport or nearby meet-ups (starting at $125 within a 1-hour radius)
  • Delivery by a professional travel nanny (average $400+)
  • Delivery by a family member who will fly your puppy to you (average $600 + flight + $95 airline pet fee)

If needed, airline-approved pet carriers are available for purchase—just let her know before your scheduled travel date. Common pickup or meeting airports include South Bend (IN) and Chicago Midway, while O’Hare meetups are available for an added $150 fee.

To keep families connected and involved during this exciting time, Bethany also shares bi-weekly photo updates so you can watch your pup grow from afar.

Training & Socialization Foundations

At Doodledee Goldendoodles & More, early development is at the heart of everything they do. Puppies are raised right inside the home—not in barns or sheds—so they’re constantly surrounded by the rhythms of family life. From day one, they’re gently socialized with children, other dogs, and even cats, setting the stage for confident, friendly companions.

Bethany, the breeder behind Doodledee, follows the Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS) protocol during the first weeks of each pup’s life. This well-regarded approach supports cardiovascular health, stress resilience, and cognitive development. She also starts potty training early—typically at 4 to 5 weeks—using a consistent indoor routine that gradually transitions pups toward full housebreaking.

Around that same age, weather permitting, she introduces “Puppy Boot Camp,” where the pups begin venturing outside with adult dogs every three hours from morning until evening. This hands-on routine helps establish reliable elimination habits and makes the move to outdoor pottying feel natural and easy.

Bethany also makes sure each pup gets used to everyday household sounds, light grooming, and plenty of human interaction, all of which contribute to well-rounded temperaments. To help families feel connected during this critical time, she shares professional photo updates every two weeks, offering a glimpse into each puppy’s growth and milestones.

Key Highlights:

  • In-home, hands-on raising for optimal emotional and behavioral development
  • Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS)
  • Potty training begins at 4–5 weeks of age
  • Outdoor potty training starts with Puppy Boot Camp (6 AM–9:30 PM potty schedule)
  • Socialized with dogs, cats, and children
  • Regular exposure to grooming and household environments

Preparing for Your Puppy

At Doodledee Goldendoodles & More, every puppy is carefully prepared for the transition to their forever home. Bethany raises her pups inside her home, where they receive hands-on care, early socialization, and a structured feeding schedule from the very beginning.

She partners with TLC Pet Food, a family-owned company known for its exceptional quality, to nourish her puppies during this critical stage. The pups typically begin eating solid food around 4 weeks of age and are fully weaned by 6 to 7 weeks.

Each puppy goes home with a thoughtfully assembled starter kit designed to make the transition easier for both pup and family. Depending on availability, kits may include a leash, collar, toys, NuVet supplements, TLC Bones, MaxiVet Probiotics sample packs, a grooming comb, a blanket scented like the litter, a supply of food (for travel or delivery situations), and other helpful essentials.

Bethany takes pride in setting her puppies—and their new families—up for success from the start.

Life After Adoption: Support & Expectations

Doodledee Goldendoodles & More is known for offering lasting support well beyond adoption day. Bethany maintains close connections with many of her puppy families and remains available to offer guidance as each pup grows. Her ongoing involvement helps make the transition smoother for both the puppy and their new home.

Understanding that the first week home can be both exciting and overwhelming, Bethany provides helpful resources and reminders focused on setting routines for feeding, sleep, crate training, and socialization. Each puppy leaves with a solid foundation in potty training and desensitization, easing the adjustment period for new families.

To help keep every pup safe and accounted for, all puppies are microchipped and registered to the breeder until spay/neuter confirmation is provided—typically around the one-year mark—in accordance with the signed spay/neuter agreement. This policy adds a layer of accountability and peace of mind for everyone involved.

Families are always welcome to stay in touch with Bethany or reach out for additional support. For those seeking professional training guidance, she confidently recommends trusted trainers like the team here at Happy Pup Manor.

  • Ongoing breeder support and communication
  • Transition tips for crate training, feeding, and sleeping
